We’ll provide you with a Paul Bunyan script from our American Tall Tales book. Send us a video (using the link below) of your kids performing the short play. Get creative! Make your dog into Babe, the Blue Ox! Try some gender-switched casting and create a Paula Bunyan tale…you get the idea.

All submissions must be sent in by June 22th. Voting ends on June 30th. Submissions must be less than 3 minutes long (which means you’ll most likely need to select a portion of the play).

On July 4th, we will announce the following winners based on participant voting:

One First Place winner, $200 in store credit at welltrainedmind.com
Two Second Place winners will each receive $150 in store credit at welltrainedmind.com
Four Third Place winners each will get a copy of all four companion readers and their accompanying audio MP3s

Admin note: The well-trained mind are the creators of most of the curriculum my family has been using for the last 4 years. I highly recommend them. The Albuquerque library has several copies of her guide book on teaching the classical methods (also know as the trivium), The Well-Trained Mind by Susan Wise Bauer. Her book talks about why to use the classical method as well as her favorite choices of curriculum by grades and subjects.
