About the Network

We are a nondenominational group of home educators in Valencia County, New Mexico.  We are a new group recently formed in 2015 trying to create a positive environment where home educators can share resources and information.  We are planning on providing a bulletin board so that individual families in the area can submit announcements for field trips, play dates, classes, or any other educational activities.  We also hope to provide in the near future a page dedicated to families new to home schooling.  The page will include links to other home school groups, curriculum design resources, and other home school organizations designed to provide assistance to home educators.

People who are interested in home schooling, or who are completely new to home schooling, are also welcome.  There is currently no registration fee or form.  We are primarily interested in forming a network where home educators in the Valencia area can share information and ideas.  We do not seek to compete with, or replace existing groups, and members of other groups in the Valencia area are welcome to join, provided they exhibit a positive attitude and a willingness to work with others and to respect the right of others to adopt different teaching methods and curricula for their own children. Individuals who are divisive or who have a history of being divisive and negative may be refused membership privileges on such grounds.

We hope the provide usefully information to those in Valencia County, New Mexico and surrounding counties of New Mexico. This includes towns of; Isleta, NM, Bosque Farms, NM, Peralta, NM, Los Lunas, NM, Tome, NM, Los Chavez, NM, Belen, NM Casa Colorada, NM, Veguita, NM, Las Nutrias, NM and anyone else in the area interested in Home School or homeschooling in our New Mexico.
