Making music is so important to the development of children, and joining other kids to create music only enhances that experience. The Mid-Rio Grande Home School Band is still providing classes for 10-18 year olds in Band, Guitar, Jazz, and this year, World Music Drumming. This class is safe, social, educational, and most importantly – FUN! Kids will sing, drum, chant, move, and learn about other cultures and styles of music.
World Music Drumming lasts two semesters, but we also offer six week classes, called BasiCamps, in ukulele, recorder, and bucket drumming. These are perfect to get your 8-10 year old out of the house and explore different instruments.
